We’re pleased to announce that our latest research, conducted under the supervision and initiative of Dionysis Latinopoulos from the CIMWRM, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), as part of the NatUR-W Project, has been published in Land (MDPI)!
The open-access article, “Transforming Public Space with Nature-Based Solutions: Lessons from Participatory Regeneration in Lorca, Spain,” explores how participatory governance and co-design can foster more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable urban regeneration.
Drawing from the Barrios Altos district in Lorca (Spain), the paper highlights how the NatUR-W project, funded by the European Urban Initiative (EUI), demonstrates the potential of Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) to integrate communities, enhance public spaces, and strengthen urban resilience.
Congratulations to Mr. Dionysios Latinopoulos, to his co-authors Sara Pelaez-Sanchez, Patricia Briega Martos, Enrique Berruezo, and Pablo Outón, and to all project partners who contributed to this inspiring collaboration!
