The NatUR-W consortium gathered on the 3rd and 4th of June 2025 in Lorca for a productive Steering Committee Meeting, hosted by the Lorca City Council and NBSCLIMATE at the Town Planning Office.
Day 1: focused on governance and participatory engagement, including a dynamic workshop with stakeholders on co-designing nature-based solutions for the old prison and urban park areas.
Day 2: featured detailed updates and collaborative planning across key work packages
The meeting concluded with a “Ruta por el clima”, a climate-themed walk across Lorca’s urban hotspots. Participants explored local climate challenges and NbS opportunities, from the green wall to historic sites like Plaza Bordadora and Huerto Palacio Guevara.
