On May 7th, the city of Aranda de Duero came together to celebrate Europe Day with an inspiring evening event at Ribering – Coworking, Coliving, Incubación y Eventos con Impacto en la Ribera del Duero. The event spotlighted youth engagement, sustainability, and the power of European cooperation in shaping a greener and more inclusive future.
As part of the celebration, Jesús Iglesias Saugar from NBSCLIMATE delivered an engaging presentation on innovative Nature-based Solutions (NbS) being developed across Europe. His talk featured three forward-looking EU-funded projects that are making a real difference:
- NATMed Prima Project: Enhancing water resilience in the Mediterranean through NbS.
- NatUR-W: Promoting urban regeneration by integrating water cycles into renaturalization efforts.
- CoLab Europe: Supporting rural coworking in Europe to combat depopulation.
The evening served as a reminder of the value of European collaboration and how shared knowledge and joint efforts can help communities thrive while addressing major environmental and social challenges.
