The two-day 1st Opening Site Visit of the NatUR-W Project took place in Lorca on 26-27 February 2025, featuring discussions, exploration, and collaboration.
1st day
Participants had the opportunity to visit the project area, Barrios Altos, and explore the Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) implemented under NatUR-W, focusing on three key actions:
The first day focused on reviewing the site’s challenges and key features from the project’s first year and organizing further steps. Transfer Partners actively explored NatUR-W’s innovative solutions, discussing their specific roles and contributions to the project.
- Enhancing energy efficiency in three social housing units
- Renovating and converting the interior of the Old Prison (a Heritage of Cultural Interest) into a “Citizen university”
